Hi, I use a COMPAQ Presario working off VISTA OS, and I seem to be getting configuration problems with peripherals. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but the problem started when I had my TALKTALK broadband upgraded to super broadband.
I discovered soon after that I could not communicate with my Kodak ESP 1.2 Printer across Wifi. I managed to redirect the printer to the new Wifi box, but can't cant communicate with it from the computer. I uninstalled the Kodak software and tried both downloading it and using the CD to reinstall the software, but the installation fails at the final stage.
I now find that some of the USB sockets do not respond when I plug something into them (so far a Galaxy 2 mobile and a SanDisk memory stick).
When I last corresponded with you July 2012, I had lost my DVD/CD drive and you provided a short piece of code to rectify a corrupt section of the registry, which had possibly been caused while installing some software, in this case probably iTunes. At the time the code solved the problem entirely.
I wonder whether I am having similar problems again in the registry area, and whether you can offer a solution.
Thank You
Roger Burch
