So I turned my computer on this morning and my monitor seems to have failed... Its a Sony GDM-5402 21" CRT display, yes I know its ancient and very obsolete but it worked perfectly up to last night and it could run all the way up to 2048x1536 with no problems.
Below is a youtube link to what it does now, there is no PC connected but it doesn't matter, does the same thing either way-
It definitely failed, but my question is what caused it? It had no symptoms leading up to this, and 10 hours ago it worked perfectly. Could it be some simple/cheap fix such as bad capacitors? I would like to try everything in my power to fix it.
