I wasn't sure if I should post this in Hardware or Network so please bear with me.
I have a newly installed Win7 peer-to-peer network system. Not new equipment, just a clean install. Two CPU's, two printers, two scanners. Each CPU has a printer and a scanner, and they are set up to be shared since they have different capabilities. We're still working out kinks.
Yesterday the main scanner, Epson GT-S50, decided to misbehave. After a lot of trying this and trying that (I do have notes but I'll spare you the details for now) I think this is what happened to upset the apple cart.
Yesterday I tried to use the scan function for the first time ever on an HP AIO. This is the printer on the secondary machine. I think this is the problem because the Epson shortcut (on the host(?) machine) targets the Windows>twain_32 folder. Within that folder there is a folder for "escndv" and one for "fjscan32." Epson and Fujitsu, right?
Now when I try to use the Epson, it's being glitchy. I get an error saying it isn't connected, or it will feed 5 pages through but only keep one page in the file, or it will scan a page and go into a "Not Responding."
Any ideas on how I can undo whatever the HP did to mess up the rest of the world?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
