I want to have my display extended from my laptop to TV wirelessly. Currently I use an HDMI cable where sometimes it recognizes it, sometimes it doesn't (which I still haven't found a solution for, the cable is not damaged). I would like to make this display extention happen wirelessly, and where I could extend this display to different TVs in the house. I see Google Chromecast has made this possible to stream stuff like youtube, netflix, etc... to other tvs wirelessly, but what if I simply wanted to drag a video playing in windows media player over to the TV? Does Google Chromecast support that? Or would a different piece of hardware? My laptop does not have "intel widi" either... What do I need to get?
