Solved: HDD Humming ?

Hey guy's

One day ago I got a humming noise coming from my beast (PC) I looked up what it could be and I found out that Hard drives can make this sound when they are about to fail. It also can be a fan but I really don't think that's the case.

Today when booting up the beast I found that my HDD would not start windows, I kept seeing a white bar _ flashing on the top left of my screen. I then restarted my PC a few times it kept doing the same flashing bar like there was no HDD around or even anything on it.

I sat around for about 5 min and unplugged my HDD then replugged it in, I then started my pc I clicked F2 for HDD Options.
When that came up I clicked on my WDC HDD 620GB.....It started windows. >>> (BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN THAT IT WAS NOT PLUGGED IN ALL THE WAY) <<<

I would like to know how I can pin point the problem if it is my Hard Drive or just a fan.

I do have my case open at this moment and have put my ear to fans and my HDD but it's kinda hard to find the source with all the fans moving air around.

I just need some suggestions on what to do.
