Hello, I have a problem with my PC, I have read a lot of tutorials and what not but I still can't seem to be able to solve the problem, so I decided to join this forum.
So, few weeks ago I had some problems with my PC (it was turning off while trying to play a game), somebody told me I should update the bios, and I did, then about half way though I got an error saying something like "You ran into an error, wait for PC to restart"or something like that, I waited about 10 minutes and nothing was happening, so I turned the PC off, now when I open it it comes up with an error saying:
"Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0
BIOS ROM checksum error
Detecting floppy drive A media...
Drive A error, system halt"
Also sometimes it says "keyboard error or no keyboard present". I have changed the battery, cleaned CMOS with the jumper thing, and tried to add the BIOS file to an USB stick, but I dont think the PC sees the USB stick, because it has a led and it doesn't turn on when I plug it in the USB port.
I just dont have a floppy disk, never had one and really can't find one in shops around my city.
So if anybody could help me out a bit here I would REALLY appreciate it! (maybe a step by step tutorial or something)
Here are my specs:
Motherboard: Biostar mcp6pb m2+ v6.0
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 @2.3Ghz
RAM: 2GB DDR2
GPU: nVidia 9400GT 512MB
PSU: 450 Watt
Thank you.
