I am building a new computer, I am using a used Dell OptiPlex GX280 motherboard. And all the specifications I have found say to use a Pentium 4 processor 530 (3.0GHz, 1M, 800Mhz).
I found one on eBay and received it yesterday.
But the socket on the motherboard has more pin holes than the processor has pins. On the motherboard the socket is marked (Foxconn C-3598). If I plug in the CPU into the socket, there is extra holes along the side and the bottom.
Does (or will) this processor fit and work in this socket? :confused:
