I just upgraded my Acer Aspire SA90 desktop to Windows 8.1 recently. I had 1.5 Gig of RAM and thought I'd increase it a bit. to help performance. I put in two new cards of 2 Gig each to replace what I had before. The System knows it's got 4 Gig now but says only 3 Gig are useable. Anyone know why that might be? Do I need to upgrade the BIOS maybe? How does one do that exactly? Should I back something up first?
