I hope I have put this is in the right forum, if not my bad.
A few weeks ago I purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse for my computer when I was live in my previous house. Up till now it has no problems functioning, the response time is brilliant on it - except when I open a full screen game it sometimes slows down the response. I had positioned my keyboard and mouse on my desk about just over arms length away from my computer unit. I have only had to change the batteries on them all once and that was when I thought it was a low battery problem. I have now moved into a different location and I have my keyboard and mouse on my coffee table across the room from the computer and it seemed okay at first when I set it all up. Had to change ports on the blutooth dongle thingy cause I took it out to transport the computer without damage. I don't usually use a mouse mat but I did try to use one an it made it worse. I cleaned the infra red light and switched it of a few times but its not cooperating. I works semi okay on the desktop but the further away it is it seems the worse it gets. Which is obvious but I can't sit as close to the TV as I had the keyboard/mouse before I'd go blind. and besides I have no were to sit it as its not at all responsive on the carpet.
It's worse when I play games - like South Park: Stick of truth, Surgeon Simulator and Garry's Mod, the mouse is non responsive and on surgeon simulator its seems only on the menu screen I can have full use of all the fingers. I play a lot of games on that computer and I'm frustrated that it suddenly not working for me. It's not a battery problem so is it just the distance away from the main port thats the problem or is it just my flat and its lack of holding a signal - it has no cell/mobile signal at all. And yet my Xbox controller works fine as does my bluetooth speakers. I am so confused as to why it has a on off day.
I have this keyboard/mouse duo Herehttp://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Prod...+AND+MOUSE.htm
and if it helps this is my computer http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer-...1_1552442.html but I don't think it has a i3 processor as its not as top notch for gaming as I want it to be. I can run classic games like age of empires and sims 2 fine. games like Tera Rising Guild Wars or the like pfft the graphics have to be almost off and the lag is just about bearable. Buts thats another issue, right now its just why does the mouse work only when it wants to - and why is it that it seems to work better on the desktop than on games and sometimes the interwebs, it seems to have a mind of its own.
