I cannot left click my trackpad mouse while holding a key. This is a problem that occurs quite frequently in gaming. I am aware that this issue is present due to its need when typing in order to prevent clicking around on the page accidentally while typing, but I cannot find the option to toggle it off.
I am running Windows 8.1 on a Toshiba Satellite. The trackpad is a Synaptics ClickPad V0.0 on SMB port. I have entered the control panel and searched under Devices and Printers > Mouse > Device Settings > Settings and here there is no category for this issue. The categories mainly concern multiple finger actions such as zooming or triple finger clicking but under simply Clicking it only has options for multiple finger clicks and under Tapping only involves disabling the pad with the top left corner and dragging icons. I had an issue before where I could not use the mouse at all while pressing a key, but this was resolved by turning off the SmartSense palm sensor. Now the only issue is clicking while pressing a key and this issue is not resolved with any options under the SmartSense category. I do not know where else to look for solutions to this problem. It seems like it should be an easy toggle somewhere but I cannot find it.
If anyone could assist me in solving this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
