Problems with sound.

Hello world.

About 3 weeks ago I bought a new headset. They were working fine. This morning I wake up and I have no sound. The Microphone for the headset is still working.

I checked Windows volume controls aswell as the headsets onboard volume control. All fine.
Then I plugged in my old headset and they also don't work making me think its a software issue.
So I checked my drivers and they were ok but I reinstalled them anyway to be sure. Still not working.
Finally I tried a system restore but that also didn't fix the problem.

At this point im out of ideas so if anyone could bail me out I'd really appreciate it.
