I've been having this problem for over a month now and i tried just about everything and i'm going down to last resorts on this problem. I am using an alienware m15x, i use a razor mouse that i've had for almost 5 years now, the device is pretty outdated according to the razor website. I plug in this mouse into one of my usb ports, it works fine for about 5 to 10 minutes then suddenly it has a little lag, freezes, then i can move it again but it's only barely visible on the sides of my computer. I usually have to unplug it for about 15 to 20 minutes, plug it back in and it works fine for 5 to 10 minutes. I have tried updating the drivers (both getting razor's drivers for my mouse and updating drivers for my usb ports), scanning for viruses, malaware. Cleaning out system files with Ccleaner. Uninstalling and reinstalling all my usb port drivers (usb hub). Now i really do not know what else to do since i have checked this problem that i'm having many times on the internet and come with stuff that is kind of relating to my problem or not at all. My laptops mouse pad is working fine, i have had no problems with the cursor while using it. I tried plugging my mouse into three of other usb ports, same problem. So now I'm thinking it's either my motherboard or just the mouse itself. So if anyone can help me out figuring what the solution might be that would be great, mostly going down to is the my computers hardware itself or is it the mouse. If it is the mouse i have no problem buying one but i really do not want to spend the money if the problem is going to persist.
