This morning I had to deal with a malware issue, and I think I finally got everything sorted out. However, once that was fixed, I discovered that my mousewheel will no longer scroll lines in various programs (Firefox, Outlook, etc.). I noticed that if I press and hold the middle mouse button, that scrolling KIND OF works, but it's not great.
What I did was I downloaded and installed updated software from Logitech, but that didn't help. In fact, I can't see any settings anywhere to configure the behavior of the scroll wheel, except for determining if it scrolls lines or pages, and how many lines.
Anyone have insight into this issue?
BTW, one thing I discovered was that if I go into Control Panel/Device Manager and look at my mouse drivers, there are two entries -- one for a Logitech driver, and one for a Microsoft driver. I disabled the Microsoft driver but that didn't seem to do anything at all.
