Hello. I have a Win8 based HP laptop, a G7 Series one. Recently when I start the computer and it finishes loading and gets to the screen where you have to put a password in, there are long, thick horizontal white lines on the screen and you can't see anything. When I plug it into an external source, I can see everything on the monitor. When I unplug the VGA cable I can see things on the screen on the laptop but they are distorted and 1/3 of the screen to the right can't be seen. and there is a line on the bottom of the screen that displays the top 1/5 portion of the screen as well. I have tried system restores and I don't nec want to do a factory reset to see if that fixes the issue because of certain programs I have that I no longer have the disc for. I have also installed the video driver again to see if that will fix the issue, but no go. How can I see the screen perfectly on the external display but nothing on the main screen? Thx in advance.
