Ok guys need some help with my first attempt in build. my old faithful desktop died after nine years, so I am way behind. I want to use my same case. After 9 years I got sort of attched to it, besides being a beautiful case. I got as far as choosing a MOBO that comes with PCi slots and one ide slot, so i could still use my dvd, hd,modem for fax. I know i can't use my old memory sticks. My problem is with buying a complete CPU..by that I mean, a heatsink, a fan and that it has intergrated video. I am not into games, just the simple stuff as u probably can tell by me sticking to my 9 year old desktop. i am typing on my net book Acer with win 7 now. I see where some of these MOBO's are pretty cheap, especially the ones that may still have PCi and ide slots along with the PCI-Express ones. So how do I choose the processors?
