Ok so stripped down laptop and put it back together. Its a Toshiba Equium. But mouse touch-pad not working. So thinking I had not pushed in the ribbon properly I took it apart again enough to get at the ribbon. Re inserted it no good. Tried this several times still no good. Thinking I had somehow damaged the ribbon when taking it apart I ordered a replacement palmrest and touch-pad. Fitted it still no good. All I can think of now is that the ribbon os not going in properly however I have no way to tell. Any tips?
