Scanner says the "Drive" is missing

Hi,

I have a HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m copier, printer and scanner wireless, and it has been running fine, I've scanned a lot from this device over the past 2 years. However, I went to scan something today and it wouldn't work, so when I ran a trouble shoot it said the required driver was missing. I did everything from "Apply This Fix" to deleting the printer and reinstalling it, but it still will not scan, but it will print just fine. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.
