Aspire 5100 beeps twice at startup

Hello, I own an Acer Aspire 5100 and i recently upgraded it from windows xp to windows 7.

I had a problem with it constantly freezing and i keeps having to hold my power button down to preform a hard shutdown. One day when booting up from a hard shutdown it beeps twice and i get a black background with white text that says

Press<F1> to resume, <F2> to Setup

pressing f2 takes me into bios mode, and no matter what i do in there, when i exit, my computer resets and beeps twice again with the same text. If i press f2 the text goes away and then i get an underscore ( _ ) blinking for 5 secs and then more text that reads

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 082)

For Realtek RTL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI Fast
PXE-E61: Meadia test failure, check cable
PXE-NOF: Exiting PXE ROM.

the text stays for about 3 secs and then goes away. 10 sec later in comes right back and keeps doing this in an infinite loop.

Sometimes I can get to my desktop, but after a few minutes it freezes, forcing me to do a hard shutdown or waiting, in which case it does nothing and sits there frozen for hours or give my a blue screen of death, restarts, and beeps twice.

I believe it has something to do with the ram chip but im not sure. If anyone has some advice on how to fix this, please help me and thanx!
