Dear All:
I built a new computer after my old hard drive crashed. Everything went well, new Mobo, new CPU, new Memory sticks, I connected the DVD-RAM and install the Windows 7 (Home Premium). Computer booted up fine and everything looked good. I added the remaining hardware (graphic board, second DVD, etc). Then the disaster struck. I tried to download the graphic card software and driver, but neither DVDs would work. When I inserted the disc into the drive, DVD would sit there and grind forever with its light flashing but would not read, just grind!
I had to load other software by using the USB drive. Both DVD-RAMs are Samsung model GH22NS40.
I then took a new Plextor DVD-RAM from my second computer and added to the newly built computer, but with the same results: Disc turning forever and nothing happening. I tried to re-load and Windows 7 to see it would clear the problem but could not. Anyone has experienced this problem? I am ready to return the motherboard back to the supplier.
