Hi, my boyfriend's laptop is a Toshiba Satellite. About 3 weeks ago he spilled coffee in it. I got it cleaned up and working perfectly. Then, about week and half ago, he spilled a BIG glass of milk in it. The whole screen went nuts. There were colored bands, dots, stuttering etc. I had him shut it down, unplug it etc.. I tried to open it, managed to get the HD out of it and battery. There were 2 screws stuck in it that I could not get out, although they did not appear to be stripped.
His dad took it to the shop he got it from, the woman had it for a day and said it was fixed. He picked it up yesterday. We just opened it a little bit ago and the desktop was ok, some of the keys were not working though. The A key if you press it, it makes continuous letter AAAAAAAAAA. I had him plug in my extra keyboard and that fixed that issue.
The mouse pad on it is also not working so I had him plug in my extra mouse. All went well there too.
The woman at the computer shop put AVG Antivirus on it, which always seemed to give it issues the last time it was on there when he first got the laptop so we had again uninstalled it this morning. It said it had to restart so he restarted it.
Now it is stuck on the screen.... TOSHIBA Leading Innovation >>> AMD Turion X2 64 and on the bar at the bottom it says...
Press <F2> To enter setup, <F12 to enter MultiBoot selection menu.
I can't get it out of that screen now. I have tried all function keys and rebooted it several times and still it is stuck on that screen.
This is very frustrating. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.
Also, I have no idea what all she did to it when she fixed it. I have no idea what operating system is on it now or anything. It did have Windows 7 Home Premium before he took it back in to her.
