Fuzzy Text

I know the easy answer to this question is "bin it and buy another one", but I would rather do that only as an absolute last resort.

I have a ViewSonic Graphics Series CRT monitor which I use for graphics as it is far superior to anything else for this type of work. Recently when displaying text (any type of document) the text is "fuzzy". It used to be pin-sharp but now it is quite difficult to read.

The strange part is that images and video are excellent and are not showing any "fuzziness".

I have spent hours trying to obtain the best possible settings using the OSD but the text remains "fuzzy".

Any suggetions (other than binning it) will be most welcome.
