Hey there,
I'm a big fan of custom home built nas boxes and for a while now, the the idea of building one has been on my mind.
Here's the problem though, I'm looking for a small case, to fit a micro ATX board in and not many are on the market with 4 hard drive bays 3.5'. (something in comparison to a Lian Li PC-Q08B [but a bit larger obviously cause it is mATX])
The criteria for this case would be that it cannot be equal or greater than to 13.75 in high or 11 in wide (only one of the two need to be met[give or take .5in])
The reason I am needing a mATX board instead of a mITX board is because I'm going to be installing multiple expansion cards on it. Namely, a RAID card, 10 GiB Ethernet, and Quad port Ethernet.
(I'm using a 10GiB connection to allow my computer to load programs from the NAS and then 4 Port Ethernet for the rest of the devices.[because this is going to be my router as well when i create virtual machines])
Price is not an issue because I have already bought MOBO, 4 WD 2TB SEs, 32GB ram, all the Expansion cards. and deciding on CPU, so I have 400$ left in my pocket.
**I already have an used PSU I'm going to put in.
One idea that I thought was to buy a FT03 from silverstone and have an external 4 bay drive cage for the harddrives. except the idea of having an extra part for containing hard drives just adds size onto the build and then defeats the purpose(in a way).
Thanks in advance :D
