Hello. I am trying to hookup a Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, and a Playstation 1 to my HDTV. I have a picture of the back of the TV for your suggestions on what I can buy or how I can use what I currently have to make them all work. I have a Playstation 2 hooked up already using up all of the inputs on the back leaving just HDMI and cable box available to use.
I also have a picture of the game and cable box, so you can see if there is a way that I might be able to hook them all up to the game box and make it connect to the Cable box and somehow use the cable box as the input device for the game systems to the back of the TV.
Here are the pictures: (Should be attached at the bottom).
If you all have any suggestions on any device that may be able to work with this setup, that would be very helpful. The back of the game systems each use their own AV adapter containing red, white, and yellow cables. The genesis has only yellow and white cords (no red). The game box seems to be an AV/RF box with 4 buttons on the front to select which game system to use. Not sure if it is working since it has been stored away for so long.
Thanks for your help. If the TV contained a lot more of those RCA inputs on the back, there would be no problem and would not have to use an external box or input device. Do let me know if you need anymore information. I will try to check back often. I am looking forward to hearing your responses. Have a great day. :)
