Hello everyone,
I just got my new PC components, I put them all together in the case, and this is msg that I got after POST: "USB Device Over Current Status Detected !!"
Parts I am using:
4770k
maximus vi hero
g.skill trident X 2400mhz (at 1600 atm)
cm silent pro modlar 700w
After that I removed all the components out of the case and tested without parts that I did not need.
Here is the video how it looks: http://youtu.be/anjwpyE9-lw
I have to press start button twice, it was the same when I used case button as well.
It detected all 4 of my hdds, it detects ram and cpu as well.
I can not get into bios.
I also updated bios using usb and bios update button (without starting PC) and it updated succusfully (lights were flashing for 10 secs and when they stopped, it finished, so says in manual) and I tried again, but still the same error.
I tried removing keyboard and mouse, so only motherboard, cpu and one ram were inside and powersupply powered motherboard, and still the same error.
I used this power supply before on my previous build, and it worked (cm silent pro 700w modular).
I do not know what else to do, what could it be ?
All the parts except PSU are new, and I just put them together.
PS I dont know if this has something to do with this, but plastic cover covering cpu socket on motherboard was off, moving arround in package, when i opened it.
EDIT:
Ok using usb stick with bios on it, and setting it in extra usb slot for bios flash, and flashing bios on motherboard using bios flash button on the back of the motherboard worked(That is flashing bios without turning pc on, it just needs power).
Well it didnt really work, but I manage that way to get into bios settings, and change them, and save them, the problem is, when i restart pc again, it saves settings, ttat i changed, but than again it shows the same message, and I cant access bios, the only way to access bios again, is to flash it again using same method, and that way it starts bios right away, I can always set bios settings back clearing cmos.
So now that I can get into bios this way, what do you think I should try out ?
I tried disabling all usb ports, and i know it worked coz keyboard and mouse wouldnt turn on, but it still shows the same msg, so probably usb ports are alright ?
Ofcourse I tried all possible ram combinations, it always posts.
I checked cpu socket, and contacts, ecerything seems ok there.
