Hello.
I have HP probook 6550b laptop. The CPU Intel i5 M 520 @ 2.40 GHz overheats.
Situation year ago:
- Idle temp 35
- While watching youtube videos; temp 40 and no fan noise.
Situation now:
- Idle temp 42
- While watching youtube videos; temp 70-80 and the fan is really loud.
What have I tried so far:
- Get our schools IT guy check it, he said: "Yeah this ain't normal, lets send it to HP". Couple weeks went, and HP sent the laptop back with a note "There is nothing wrong with the laptop."
- Change the thermal paste, no effect
- Open up the laptop and clean all the the dust
It's impossible to play games or even browse websites, since the CPU overheats and fans sound like a tornado.
What should I do?
I will run tests, gather info, anything you want me to do in order to get this fixed.
Regards, Felisbellator
