Certain keys lock up the whole keyboard

Hello Guys,

Since yesterday afternoon I have been having the same problem. Whenever i press the 5, 6, - or \ keys the main part of my laptop keyboard or 5 & 9 on the num pad the whole keyboard stops responding. Pressing any particular key does not fix it but mashing the whole number row will let me use the keyboard again.

I am running windows 8 on a HP ENVY dv6 Notebook PC. I have tried to update keyboard drivers and done a system restore to before the problem started but nothing has fixed the problem yet.
