I have a Dell dimension 4100 PC that has a dell flat screen monitor that came with the computer. It was working fine and suddenly went dark. When I rebooted, I heard windows come on and the computer appeared to work. I substituted another monitor that did work, so it wasn't the video card or the computer. Obviously, something stopped working on the monitor. There were 3 buttons on the front and none on the back and I pressed each to see if there was a reset. Nothing happened. I then installed the non-working monitor on a working PC and it still remained dark, so I'm thinking something blew out in the monitor.
The question is, does this sound like a module blew out or is there something I can do to reset the monitor? I suspect that having it repaired will cost more than the monitor.
