I've never bought RAM before, but I'm looking to upgrade. I'm going to get a 64 bit OS and at LEAST 8 gigs of ram. I have a budget of $200.
What do I need to know when purchasing RAM? I know I need DDR3, but is there anything else that's important to know before buying it? Also, is anything more than 8 gigs over kill? Would it be beneficial to get 16? I play a lot of games. What brands would you guys recommend?
