Black screen

I have a Emachine N-10 laptop.It comes on but no video,just a black screen.I hear 2 short beeps when I turn on.I took out ram card and restarted without it,I still heard the 2 short beeps.I had to buy a new power supply the old one quit.I also tried putting ram card in the other slot the same results.Would it be video are the motherboard?
Thanks to anyone that can help me.I am lost as what to do from here.I know puter is old but that's all I can do for now. Cannot afford a new one.
