I have an external 750Gb Toshiba HD (p/n EA05A075CAU3XS) that suddenly stopped working. No indication lights blinking, no activity, plugged into multiple computers, ports, cables with no avail.
I ended up removing it from the case and found a USB 3.0 interface card inside attached to the drive (either HDD2M01 or MK7575GUX for the part number) with a small 18-pin connector (I had to remove the 3.0 PCB to see this).
I haven't seen any signs of the card being burnt or damaged in any way but before accepting the fact that it's the drive itself was hoping someone was familiar with the connector type and/or what kind of cable I could use to bypass the 3.0 card. Additionally if someone knows where I can get an replacement card, that would be helpful as well.
