Moving boot SSD from one PC to another

I suspect I already know the answer to this, but thought I might just ask the experts before I spend time I might not need to spend.

Several months ago I bought a new 250G SSD and installed it into my PC. I installed Win 8.1 pro (licensed, retail) fresh at the time and of course since then have loaded all sorts of programs etc.

I have just purchased a new PC (running Win 8 OEM - Dell) on a 2TB boot drive) and want to move my SSD from the old PC to the new PC. I am prepared to dual boot temporarily until I know the primary OS on the SSD is working properly etc.

Question is whether or not I will have to re-install my Win 8.1 Pro all over again or will I be able to simply add the SSD to the new machine and do a repair/install. A lot of the peripherals are going to be the same - printers, monitor, network, some internal derives, all external drives etc. But of course the processor will be a big change (I7 260 to I7 4790) and the memory modules are different and of course the motherboard is totally new. I assumed I would have to re install everything fresh but started to wonder if maybe I don't actually have to do that.

I also assume that I will not have any trouble re-activating my valid Win 8.1 PRO on the same SSD but in a new PC since I am not copying it to a new machine I am physically moving it from one to another so I am still only going to be running one copy legally. Might I need to call MS to get help in reactivating or should that go OK?

Advice from the experts? Thanks.
