Hello, I recently built a PC and now I'm having extremely aggravating problems with USB mic's. My first mic, a Plantronics Blackwire C220, worked perfectly at first. A couple weeks after I started using it, it started getting all janky and would stop working randomly, at which point it would look as though the mic is producing sound at maximum volume, when in reality it was not producing any sound at all. To fix it I would unplug the USB and plug it back in, though my computer would no longer recognize it as a Plantronics Blackwire, and it would only work for 10 minutes max before I had to cycle it again.
Thinking it was a problem with the mic, I purchased a Blue Snowball USB Microphone. Similar to the other mic, for the first two weeks it worked flawlessly. Now, it's having an extremely similar issue: at first it would do the same thing as the other mic (this), randomly stopping, but now my computer won't recognize it at all and it just says "USB device not recognized" (code 43) when I try plugging it in. The Blue Snowball should just be plug in and work, it doesn't have any available drivers on the website as far as I can tell, but I just can't for the life of me get it to work.
Specs:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Note: I have tried re-installing all of the drivers from the motherboard website, to no avail.
Thanks!
