Hi,
I really need quick assistance for data recovery from my external HD WD Elements SE 500GB (WX31C6273930)! Help me!
The device stops working: with no reason, it stops to be detected by any computers (OS Windows and Linux). I use Windows 7 Ultimate, but I tested the device with other Windows pcs and also with Linux (using a LiveCD)... no changes. I also try to buy a new USB cable (with USB 3.0 Micro-B plug) because I suspected the old cable was broken.
The device is not detective by the computer: I can't open it, nor getting the data inside. But: (1) when I plug-in there is the Windows classical sound, (2) in the Device Manager panel the device is properly listed and installed, (3) in the Disk Manager panel the device is marked as "Disk 1 - Unknown" and "Uninitializated". In the Disk Manager the only possible command is the initialization, that doesn't run: "Impossibile to execute the command because of a I/O device error". (Sorry about my poor translation!)
I tried to use many data-recovery-software, but none is able to detect the uninitialized device! I suspect corrupetd filesystem...
Please help me! I need a very fast solution of the problem!!! :(
