Hello,
Short and sweet!
Built a new computer. I'd like to use my old one at work since I also have an old monitor of mine there and I can use 3 monitors if this works out.
It currently has an ATI ASUS EAH6850 in it, I need to know if I can run two DVI connections to the card and one DisplayPort connection WITHOUT THE ACTIVE ADAPTER - I don't plan on running EyeFinity to merge the screens. The DisplayPort connection will be going to one of the monitors, no adapters required as it does have a DP connection and I have the cable already.
I'd like to avoid the hassle of bringing the PC in, adding a hard drive and possibly spend over an hour installing the OS/drivers to find this won't work unless I buy a ~$25 adapter. Again, I won't be using EyeFinity, I'd like to use the 3 monitors independently.
I did try to do some research on this, but it appears most people need the adapter to use EyeFinity. Does anyone know for sure?
Crazy to believe I've been on this website since I was 12 years old (that sounds bad in typing) but I appreciate everyone's help over the years!
