Hi there,
I dusted off an old desktop that I'd like to use for playing media (no internet or gaming).
..just movies, videos, music, etc.
It's an older computer:
Intel Celeron Processor
501 gHz
640 MB of RAM
Windows XP Pro Version 2002
It boots up fine. I put a video on the computer and it plays VERY, very choppy.
Not sure which type of RAM it takes, but I'm sure it's an old kind (probably cheapish)
If I boosted the RAM up to 1 gig or 2 gigs, do you think it will be able to play movies/videos?
I'd rather not spend the money to replace motherboard, etc.
Thank you!
