I have been storing my files in a NAS, and I am somewhat concerned about a fire. From what I understand, there are fire safe's out there that will allow the NAS to operate inside of them. However, the temperature inside may reach up to 300 degrees during a fire.
If my house burns down, I am not expecting to plug the NAS into the network and it runs fine. However, at 300 degrees, will there be anything left on the hard drivers that is recoverable?
