mobo fried?

Hi guys,trying to fix yet another of the kids computers,cant give to many specs on it as it wont boot,from what i can gather from the kids and online vids the message came on screen saying the main bios was corrupt and was trying to recover from backup bios....and was turned off before completed(kid panicked!) now it will power up but no beep or video,have tried the basics like cmos reset and holding power button on but nothing yet,is the mobo dead or a prob with psu? or do i just need a new mobo?
