Black screen Toshiba C655D series

Well, I accidentally dropped my laptop...on my foot no less. The screen worked for some time afterwards, however started to flicker and just recently went completely black. I took the screen apart and saw no damage. The screen is NOT cracked or damaged in anyway. I can shine a flashlight on the screen and see my desktop just fine. Now when I open the lid, it will stay on for just a few seconds, but goes black. The problem? I'm confused. Is there a part for the screen that I can simply replace? or do I have to buy a completely new screen? It seems like a waste since my screen isn't cracked or damaged, just the back light is gone. There is no inverter in this model so that is not the issue, it is all LED. I'd appreciate any feasible answers to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance
