Hi:
I'm not sure this is the spot for this question but I couldn't find any other that seemed more appropriate, so here goes.
I'm one of those one in a million people. My hard drive died last year. The external drive was full and I hadn't wanted to do the chore of weeding through things, so I'd just left it as was. Outdated. I DID backup every day to not one but 2 flashdrives -- and BOTH of those died. The first one broke in half, from repeated brushing past it and the second one wobbled so much it became unreadable. A year later and I'm still trying to put the pieces back together. Plus, I had Windows 8 deleted and Windows 7 installed this year, meaning more backups-- and in another forum, a very helpful soul predicted for me that my year old computer is dying.
I have become a fanatic about backing up. I still have the problem of using the big external hard drive. It's clumsy and I'm clumsy. It's dropped on the floor too many times. I like the flashdrives, they suit me and I'm way more careful now.
A long, long way of saying that I'm looking for a better way to store my flashdrives than just throwing them in an empty LD ink box. But all I can find in the way of storage is really puny for my needs. I've scoured the web for something that will hold 10-15 flashdrives. Sony makes one -- but it's for their memory sticks, which I think is something differemt and apparently it only holds Sonys. The next best thing I could find is a little soft-covered binderlike item that holds 6 drives.
I'm hoping someone here will know of something better.
Thanks for wading through this missive :) -- and for any help.
Jane
