I am using a Dell Studio 1737 Laptop computer, Model No. PP31L
I have AT&T DSL, using a Netgear wireless modem router. I shut down my computers at night and turn them on in the morning.

My problem is that one day my wireless internet to the laptop was working and the next day no internet.

I checked for WiFi signals in “connect to,” and there were none listed. Diagnosis indicated that wireless capability is turned off. The switch was verified to be in the on position. Device Manager (Network Adapters) indicates that the “Intel WiFi Link 5100” is working properly. I also have a desktop computer that connects to the internet via the same wireless modem router and it is working.
