Hello all. I really need some help! I bought a brand new HP Pavilion 15 with Windows 8 laptop designed to be used with a Panasonic projector as a secondary screen and a Samsung PDP TV as a tertiary screen.
To my horror, the laptop does not have a VGA port so I was told to by a VGA to USB adapter and I bought this one:http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/usb-20-to-...adapters-a98ha
The laptop does have an HDMI port but anyway, I have the USB to VGA (or whichever way round it is) one. I installed the latest software for the adapter and connected the adapter and the desktop extends to monitor 2 which is the projector screen but it does not work on the Samsung TV. All I get is "Mode Not Supported" on the screen.
I used to plug the VGA lead directly into the old laptop and it would work on both screens but now, only the TV screen is not working and I am struggling so much!
I need it to work by tomorrow or else I am toast! Any ideas as to why it now won't work on the TV and why the laptop can't detect the third monitor? I tried the resolution thing, and no luck either yet I have got some sort of image on the TV screen if I press the Windows icon and "P" and click on "duplicate" display or "show on one screen" as opposed to "extend display"
