I just bought two HP 500 GB Fibre Channel hard drives. I didn't know before I bought them that they were from a server.
And I cannot use them because they don't have IDE or SATA data connector. They have FC 40 pin connecters. I've seen some stuff on the internet that suggests that these hard drive can be adapted to be able to be connected to a regular pc through ide or sata plugs. But Im not sure if they can be adapted though.
Does anyone out there know if there are adapters I can use on these hard drives so they can be adapted to use in a pc?
Here is the model #: HP NB50058855 Fibre Channel hard drive.
I spent some money on these hard drives and would be sad if I can't use them. Im looking for pretty inexpensive adapters.
Thank you, Matt
