I have maybe 6 old junk computers stacked in my closet. They are within 10 yrs in age. I'd like to get rid of them.
There are a couple of problems.
One is that we have personal data on the hard drives. I know I can take the hard drives and drill holes in them to disable the hard drives.
Is there any kind of activity which would like to get hold of these old computers, and would guarantee to remove and "sterilze" the hard drives (some don't work enough to let you get into the hard drives) ?
The only other option I see is to treat them all as junk, and disable the hard drives, and get rid of in accordance with landfill procedural direction.
If you know of anyone who might be able to use, please tell me.
