HP Pavilion p6365sc - Upgrade or Replace?

In 2010 I went out and bought a desktop, an HP Pavilion p6365sc and for the first 3 years I had no issues whatsoever. However, last year problems started to arise, black screen, blue screen, different types of screens, all screens and it's gotten so bad that the computer can't even boot up properly. There's a weird sound from of of the fans and the screen goes to black almost instantly with the "no input signal" message.

I play a lot of games and I know many here would tell me to buy a proper gaming computer, but as I'm short on money, I simply can't afford it.

Here's a bit about the computer itself.

I've been searching the net thin on this subject and I know in the long run, I'll be better off with a new computer - but it's simply not an option in this case right now.

So, I ask.

Is it at all possible to upgrade and if yes, any advice on which parts/with what? I've thought of a PSU 450W and Asus GeForce 640 graphics card, but could my computer handle that?

Thanks in advance.
