Ok so what happened was I was playing Team fortress 2 and all of a sudden my computer crashes, and I mean crashes hard. No "Blue screen of death" just a black screen of death with the frozen sounds of TF2 in the background. Suffice to say my partitions exploded. So all my files and drives were lost.
I used a Sea Gate program to create a drive to re-install windows. all the basic stuff such as internet, java flash are working fine. The advanced stuff usually handled by a 3d renderer is the problem. I re-installed some games on steam and when I tried to play them they say: Renderer not detected, or some similar message.
So I decide to Update my drives, get all the windows updates going and update the renderer software. Suffice to say the computer crashed, but not destroying everything all over again. I just had to go to a recovery point where everything is not updated. And that is where I am now. If you read the Stats for my Graphics card it should be the Radeon HD 6870. But instead it is just the Standard VGA card. Any suggestions?
