Upgrading CPU, Not working!!! but is compatible.

Hello,

I have an ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA Motherboard,
and i am trying to upgrade my processor from a 1.6ghz dual core one, too Conroe E4500 2.2ghz, 800mhz, 2mb, p1.80.

When i put it into the motherboard and turn it on, the system runs and all lights come on, but the screen is blank with just a white dash flashing in the corner.

My bios version is; American Megatrends INC. P1.80, 18/12/2007
SMBIOS Version; 2.4

Please help, it all says it is compatible but it isnt working:0
