Hi, A family member gave me a Toshiba C655d-S5126 because it stopped working. It turns out that the power adaptor was
no good, So I bought a new one. I plugged it in and it worked, When I checked the battery level it was about 70%
plugged in and charging. The orange light was on, but the battery was discharging, 20 minutes later it turned off and
would not power on again, So I bought a new battery, thinking the original would not hold a charge. When I tried the
new battery the laptop turned on, The new battery had about 50 or 60% charge on it. So I plugged in the new AC
adaptor, But it did the same thing, windows 7 said it was plugged in and charging but the battery discharged to 0% and
the laptop turned off and wont turn on again. Could it be the charging circuit is fried?.. I have 3 other laptops
Acer, Samsung and HP, and they all turn on with or without the battery. The AC adaptor on the Toshiba is used just to
charge the battery, Not to power the laptop. Not a very good move by Toshiba...
