Sound system working with WindowsXP but not with Windows 8

My Bluetooth receiver and sound system works with Windows XP laptop, but the same does not work with my new Windows 8 laptop.

When I run install.exe ( the same bluetooth software) on the new laptop, it provides 2 options :
1. Install Bluetooth software (windows 2000/xp)
2. install Bluetooth software (windows vista)

No option for windows 8, so I click either of the 2 links, but nothing opens up, no installation happens.

There is a troubleshoot compatibility option (on right clicking install.exe) , running that does not solve the issue either.

How can this issue be resolved. I would love to have my sound system working soon!
