I got a virus on my computer and was told that one of the best ways to get rid of it was to use the backup disc that restores the computer to factory settings and choose the option that deletes all.
Then it says "deletes data and resets all partitions".
During the process of using the disc, it says all data will be deleted, but then it says "only the c : partition will be affected and other partitions will not be affected."
If it only wipes out the c : partition, couldn't the virus be somewhere else which means that the hard drive really is not back to factory settings since the other partitions are not being completely wiped out?
