New build, monitor/keyboard/mouse not working

Hey all,

I built a computer with these components:

Corsair 200r case
XFX pro 550w psu
Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H motherboard
AMD AthlonX4 750K processor
Kingston 4gb DDR3 1600 RAM
Stock heatsink
AMD Raedon 7700 graphics card

I put everything together and my monitor wasn't getting a signal and mouse/keyboard were lighting up and then off.

I took the motherboard out and examined the stand offs. I took out the centering one for micro boards and one that didn't mesh with one of the holes. I tightened everything down again and the same thing.

Next, I took the heatsink off because I noticed the processor didn't stay securely in the motherboard. I still could take it off even with the metal arm raised and lowered like it should. I matched up the triangles, as well. But I still thought it must be ok and put the heatsink on. Now, pins are bent in some places. I am now straightening them out.

I have changed the ram locations and took them out. The atx 12v is plugged in. I have put the monitor cable into the graphics card, into the dedicated slot ( with and without the graphics card in) took the peripherals out and back in, and tried the graphics card on another computer.

I have looked all over the net and haven't found a answer that I haven't tried. Are my parts incompatible or am I missing something at the install?

Thank you for any help! This computer is the stuff that makes my nightmares come true
